We need more pastors to speak for common sense at our State Capitol – in person. Without you, others fill the gap. They don’t have your wisdom, they don’t have the Truth, they are leading people astray. We can’t sing Hymns of Praise while the trains of mutilated and sterilized children pass us by. This pastor is just one example of what happens at the legislature each session. She is wrong. She is taking the spot left empty when other pastors fail to engage. We can help prepare you at Family Institute of Connecticut – contact us at ppdirector@ctfamily.org for a meeting and learn more about where you can be a witness for Christ and common sense at the Connecticut Legislature.

Errors in her testimony can be easily refuted.

“Surgical care is not available in Connecticut.” – At least 46 children under age 17.5 have been documented to have received surgery to “treat” their gender dysphoria in Connecticut. At least two 15 year-old girls had their breasts completely removed to “treat” gender dysphoria, paid for by the State of Connecticut. Whether or not one thinks the numbers don’t exist, or are small . . . no child should lose their healthy fertility to accommodate a psychological condition and/or a transient “identity”.

“Regret rate of less than 1%.” First, how can there be any “regret” among minors if the surgeries “are not available”. 👀 That said, this is a discredited and debunked statistic that is used to support a false narrative. The report used to support the <1% narrative is usually based on a 2021 meta-analysis by Bustos, et. al. This analysis is propaganda and has been debunked. Setting aside that surgical transition of minors is wholly unnecessary, the conservative estimate acknowledged by at least one WPATH member is closer to 30%.

“20% regret their knee surgery” – is irrelevant. Knee surgery is done in response to a medical condition. “Gender affirming care” sterilizes children as a “treatment” to a mental health condition. There is no comparison.

adults have autonomy to make a decision” – this is fair, but do CT taxpayers have to pay for the attachment of a fake penis to a person who also has a vagina? Must we be complicit with complete nipple erasure – currently being marketed to young women in Connecticut?

Pastors, this was a public hearing on HB 7135. Written testimony was submitted by a mother who claims her first grader is “non-binary” at seven-years old! You can still submit easy written testimony against the active shield law bill HB 1350 here.

“Parents are here to assist their children to attain gender affirming care” . . . “this is a question of children working in consultation with pediatricians to receive the care they need, that is the end of the story”. BINGO, listen carefully folks about the exclusion of parents from the conversation and a narrative that they are are only there to affirm their child’s medical choices. This type of gender extremism is being pushed by many Democrats at the Connecticut State Legislature, and many others are just willing to go along. We need people of Faith to protect children in Connecticut and support brave legislators who wills join us if they know they won’t be alone.

Representative Fishbein is completely accurate when he stated in response that doctors are not prohibited from performing these surgeries on minors (and they do) and that these laws (HB7135, HB1530voted out of the GAE committee) “shield that medical provider from liability”. We need pastors to be the voice of the Supreme Physician and Healer. To be the voice of common sense in an uncommon world. Please join us.
