“I don’t think we ever expected we were going to reach as many people as we’ve been able to reach. The fact we’ve been able to speak into millions of people’s lives is crazy. Thinking back thirteen years to when I was dealing with drugs and alcohol in a very serious way, to think I would one day have a wife and kids and a solid family and home life and then be playing music for a living—God is surely able to do more than we ask or imagine. That might be a big theme on the new record too. Something we’ve often said to each other in the last few months is ‘Look what the Lord has done.’ He’s just opened doors we didn’t think could be opened.”
–Chad Matson, Lead Vocalist for Unspoken

The inspiring Christian Rock band, Unspoken, is performing at the Ridgefield Playhouse on June 30th. Unspoken has a broad fan base and recently shared the stage with incredible artists at the K-Love Fan awards. The band is known for music that expresses transparency. As band member Mike Gomez said, “People just relate better to somebody who has been broken and redeemed than to someone who pretends to have it all together. What we say from the stage and what we say in our songs, they’re not stories from somebody we heard about. Our songs are written out of places we’ve been and places we are.”

For years FIC’s Executive Director Peter Wolfgang has called the Family Institute of Connecticut a movement. As he stated in a recent e-blast to FIC supporters, “We are not an office in Hartford, not a name you read in the newspapers. We are a group of like-minded people who come together in common cause to defend faith, family and freedom in our home state.

This is why FIC is sponsoring our first-ever concert. We want families to come together for a night of fun, wholesome and uplifting entertainment. If you’ve not heard of Unspoken, check out the video below to hear one of their popular songs, Miracle!

We hope you’ll join us at the Ridgefield Playhouse on June 30th! Staff from FIC will be there to enjoy the concert and share information on the work we do. As the concert’s soon approaching we ask that you help spread the word by telling your friends, church members and those in your community. Tickets can be purchased by clicking on this link.
