I honestly have no idea where I would be without the St. Gianna’s Center. They have provided my babies with milk, pampers, wipes, clothing anything I could of needed. Even if they didn’t have it, they found a way to get it for us. – – Ashlea Bryant
Why does anyone want to jeopardize the free and loving resources provided to thousands of women across Connecticut like Ashlea Byant? For what? To appease the fevered agitations of NARAL and Planned Parenthood? To satisfy a national campaign against these centers?
For decades, the Connecticut pro-life movement has been dedicating itself to providing choices for women who don’t want abortion. Without state aid, pregnancy resource centers have provided education, counseling, and material needs for thousands of Connecticut women. This may be a shock to some . . . but not everyone in a crisis pregnancy wants an abortion, in fact for many women, the mere thought adds insult to injury. But in a Twitter video from March 2019, a young woman at UConn forcibly tearing down a pro-life display she didn’t like, made a perfect analogy of NARAL and Planned Parenthood’s current bill against pregnancy resource centers.
The message is very clear . . “You can’t have that.”
Will CT legislators do the same?
Will Connecticut legislators allow NARAL and Planned Parenthood to do the same thing to pregnancy resource centers? Let’s do our part to let our legislators know that targeting legally operating crisis pregnancy resource centers is truly unacceptable. Visit this Oped in the Connecticut Mirror by Lisa Maloney, President of the Pregnancy Care Coalition for more information on why HB 7070 targeting pregnancy resource centers is unnecessary and a sham.
Here is what we must do now . .
Are you one of the thousands of Connecticut residents who support pregnancy resource centers each year or other worthy pro-life causes? Now is your time to protect the centers you care so much about. Please use our Action Center to contact your legislators to let them know you oppose HB 7070. There are so many of you! It is time to stand up against the falsehoods of the national, out-of-state campaign of NARAL and Planned Parenthood and stand with the women and families in Connecticut. Thank you!
