Important news from FIC’s President, Peter Wolfgang:

The U.S. Supreme Court today ruled that a California law is an unconstitutional abridgment of the free speech rights of pro-life pregnancy centers because it was not neutral but was content-based, meaning that it specifically targeted the speech of these abortion-alternative centers.

This means one of two things: Either the Hartford ordinance that was passed against a pregnancy center but has not yet gone into effect is not valid…or it is on such shaky ground that Connecticut pro-lifers can make good on our threat to the sue the city.

Either way, it’s a huge victory. NARAL Pro-Abortion Connecticut has been campaigning against our state’s pregnancy centers for three years. FIC and our allies have stopped them at every point along the way. But NARAL may have just lost their fight for good today.

Family Institute of Connecticut will hold a Pro-Life Free Speech Victory Rally TODAY, Tuesday, June 26th, at 4 pm, in Hartford on the steps of the state Capitol (the side facing Bushnell Park). Please come to the rally today, invite as many like-minded people as you can, and forward this email alert to as many people as possible!

FIC has never tried to put on a rally before on such short notice–that is why we need your help! We are calling clergy and government leaders now and asking them to speak. We sent out a press release today.

Please join us at 4 pm today!

Please also donate to our Summer Fundraising Campaign. Thank you!
