Time is of the essence and we cannot afford to wait for others to act.

Your help is needed this week to attend Connecticut’s first March for Life this Wednesday and to testify against one bill on Friday that starts a process that would enshrine abortion into the Connecticut State Constitution. This hearing is obviously timed to react to our March for Life this week. We are making an impact, but we need your help and participation.

Unrestricted abortion advocates know that the legal tide is turning as more abortion restrictions have been passed and proposed across the country than at any other time in the past 50 years. The science has become undeniable and there is no mystery anymore that an unborn human is still a human being. Roe v. Wade is vulnerable and abortion zealots now seek to further buttress their abortion hegemony in Connecticut. If you can believe it, they started by proposing a bill that would shelter law-breaking abortion doctors from other states this week. These are people who will have skirted regulations, played fast and loose with the laws of their state, ignored authorities . . . invited to perform abortions on our daughters here in Connecticut. Why? Why would we assume they would respect our laws? Have some of our legislators totally lost their mind?

Friends, be glad you don’t have to listen to today’s testimony because it is disgusting. On top of the completely absurd underpinnings of this proposed law, to harbor law-breakers, I have to wonder if there is any modesty left among our “moral betters” at the legislature. The things discussed in public by advocates and some legislators would make any descent person blush. It is a stripping away of modesty within our culture that started many decades ago and I fear for where and when it will possibly end.

In the meantime, we need to, as my 6yo daughter says . . “face our fears” and testify again on this Friday, March 25, 2022, against a proposed amendment that would enshrine a right to abortion in the Connecticut Constitution. There are so many reasons to oppose this amendment it is difficult to know where to begin. I’m sure we all have many reasons to oppose abortion. Of note, this constitutional amendment would subject any and all abortion regulations in Connecticut to “strict scrutiny”, granting a virtually absolute “right” to abortion until birth. As always, please be kind when submitting testimony and testifying.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR NEEDED

We are simultaneously fighting a strong push this year for assisted suicide in the shape of SB88. There is a battle waging in OpEd and Letters-to-the-Editor across the state and we need your help. Please submit letters against assisted suicide and SB88 now to the Hartford Courant, Connecticut Mirror Viewpoints, Waterbury Republican American, the Manchester Journal Inquirer and any and every other newspaper and journal in Connecticut. Unsure how? Just “google” the name of the paper and “How to submit a letter to the editor or oped?” Time is of the essence and we cannot afford to wait for others to act. Here is a fact sheet/page you can use to support your opposition. Interestingly, the bill invites doctors to falsify death certificates and similar laws in other states now permit assisted suicide for anorexia nervosa. Use may use these in your talking points. Thank you!
