The nation’s first hospice has released a short video clip asserting its strong opposition to assisted suicide.

Dr. Joseph Andrews, whom some readers may remember from last year’s assisted suicide battle, warns of the “right to die” becoming a duty to die and encourages viewers to have second thoughts.

Assisted suicide proponents sometimes claim that these are just two “options” that can peacefully coexist, but it is clear to Connecticut Hospice that the mere suggestion of killing as treatment would dangerously undermine their good and necessary work.

This video is to be part of a weekly series.
