We’re very excited about the World Meeting of Families this September in Philadelphia, which will include Pope Francis’s first visit to the United States.  This year’s theme is “Love is Our Mission: The Family Fully Alive.”

We received information from a friend about two preparatory workshops that are being held: one on March 14 in New Haven, and another on June 13, which is likely to be in Hartford.  The tentative schedule begins with set-up for exhibitors at 11:00, audience registration at 1:00, and runs until approximately 5:30.  A biography of this month’s keynote speaker, Damon Owens, can be found here; the lineup of speakers includes authors, bloggers, pastors, and catechists.  It sounds like a great way to get into the spirit.
